It amazes me how convoluted the spin on this subject is becoming. The other night, I heard an advocate trying to sell the idea on Fox that the term "illegal alien" is a racist, demeaning slur. In fact, it is the proper legal description for anyone who has entered the United States illegally. The fact that we have winked at it for so long -- well, the U.S. is reaping what it has sown.
