Our prayer language is given to edify ourselves personally (I Corinthians 14:14) and that word “edify” does not mean self gratification. It means a building up, as in construction, and it carries the idea of being emboldened. There are examples in Acts where we see repeated infillings that demonstrate this point. In Acts 4:31, we see saints who had been filled on the day of Pentecost were again “filled” with the Holy Ghost: Acts 4:31 (NKJV) Also, in Ephesians 5:18, we see that the Greek verb is in the present imperative;, “Be continually filled with the Holy Spirit.” The Ephesians were already Spirit filled (Eph.1:13-14) and now Paul was exhorting them to continue in the condition of being filled. Just like the Galatians were exhorted to continue to “walk in the Spirit”. (Gal.3:2 & 5:16) ***Helen

...that there are Spirit filled saints that do not appear to have an anointing nor the power to be his witnesses, but that is why it is important to be continually filled.
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
No one would doubt that Peter was already Spirit filled before Acts 4 and yet it says “they were all filled with the Holy Spirit”. Only the initial infilling should be considered a “baptism”.
