My uncle ran about 300 chickens on his farm...for food, not as pets. He always had about 6 dogs and too many cats to count. If the dogs even looked at the chickens, they got their first warning being yelled at. The 2nd warning came from a 12 gague pump shotgun. Egg-sucking dogs got the 2nd warning first.
