I think it is because many really dont understand the cross and the resurection. But those churches were death and confusion to me. Jesus was very much the focus at CC, at least that was my experience--before connections took over and blurred everything. But I learned the gospel there like never before, and I am continuing to look straight to Jesus!!

It is good to hear that others notice this very important consideration. The importance of a focus on Jesus has become increasingly clear to me. I now realize that Jesus Christ himself must be our constant thought, and that the message of the gospel--Christ's death and resurrection for us--is the very center of the universe for all Christians, and for the world. I have become wary of any "ministry" which doesnt have Christ's death and resurection front and center OFTEN.
