I Corinthians 14:1 suggests that “all” of them could prophesy “one by one” for all to experience mutual learning and comfort. Wouldn’t that be a trip, the thought of everyone being able to yield to God in that gift? Of course, the Bible says to practice this gift according to the proportion of our individual faith and I believe that many more people could hear God calling them to the use of this gift by seeking it. Honestly, I have not coveted this gift as the scriptures say to, but you have got John and me really thinking about it, and now we are praying about it. Thanks for all your study. Remember once in passing at church I said I needed to talk to you about something about this gift? Sorry I never got the chance to talk with you yet, but now I have even more to talk to you about it. I’m sorry I didn’t get to discuss it more with you here too, we’ve been pretty busy; so we’ll have to catch up soon. HUG! ***Helen

How many churches have the gift of prophecy in use in their services at all? So few that many of us here rarely get to see this ministry in practice. If I’m understanding you correctly, "practice" does not necessarily mean "rehearsed". The Greek poieo interpreted “practice” in several verses of the Bible just means to make or to do as in:
But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.
