ALWAYS WANTED TO TRY IT!!!!!! My dad was a hunter; and every Thanksgiving, we had quail, pheasant, rabbit...LOVED THEM ALL!!! Dad also swore by turtle meat, which he caught and cooked as a kid. I never had it. But several times when fishing for large mouth bass and catfish in the Midwest, I would hook onto large snappers...the diameter of a trash can lid! Dad and I would try to drag the turtles onto shore, but they would usually backpeddle and snap the line.
