Turns out, the one I shot was standing, the other had been lying down - that's right, one was actually quite a bit smaller than the other . . . It was awful! The mom just stood there until we got so close she spooked. And then the little guy didn't die for a bit. I just cried. But, since he hadn't wintered, he had only lived on alfalfa - turned out to be some of the best meat I've ever eaten. Needless to say, I had my fill of hunting after that. Traci

I only went hunting once and I got a deer. It was on the back side of a hill and I could only see it from the shoulders up. It was with another deer.
