Posted by KtY on 5/4/2006, 12:17 am, in reply to "For me, almost impossible to measure" I relate to the almost constant contemplation of the things of God. I have been overheard by my children, bits and pieces of prayers uttered loud enough they wondered who I was talking to...oh, I was just praying. All my boys call me and ask for prayer on a fairly regular basis. None live at home, and they call Dr. Mom, too, when colds and sniffles begin...just for a reminder of what to take if needed, and we pray. At bible study tonight, it was "mentioned" about the power of the tongue to speak that which is good into our lives (?prophesy?) or that which is not good. Can't explain it in words, but I immediately connected to thoughts you shared in other posts about prophetic words...life-creating words of encouragement, hope, healing, correction, whatever we need to hear from the Lord. If I may be so bold, your purpose is to be light set upon a hill. You have shone that light in our midst. You are provoking us to search the word, to seek the Lord, and to glory in him in our day-to-day lives. I praise God for you, Traci Buxton. ~ Katie

be encouraged...your purpose is being fulfilled as you go through the mundane chores of this life, as you meditate upon the word of God, the truths of God, and seek him. You are in a season that will lead to the next season to the next season...you can see where this is going, I am sure. As we are faithful in the little things, up ahead we will be just that much more prepared...after all, practice does make perfect..well, at least he is perfect, and it is truly in him that we move and have our being.
