You may use chemicals and hormones on, or in, your "product" up until a couple of weeks prior to sale. You must buy feed (for "organic" meat products") from a certified "organic" source, who in turn could use all sorts of chemicals almost up to the time of harvest. Then there is "natural" as opposed to "chemicals". What do you think the "natural" pills and juices are made of if they are not made of chemicals? Chemicals are simply the molecular building blocks of everything you see, touch and breathe. YOU are a walking mass of chemicals. Science (and yes this includes those health food companies) has just learned how to put together molecular combinations to "create" in a lab what you find in nature. Saying "natural" is better than "lab-created" would be like saying a child conceived the "natural" way is better than a "lab-created" test tube baby. No, they are exactly the same. I went to a chiropractor for a time until I concluded he was getting into "quack" practice. This man would say "Your elbow is out" then he would proceed to give a little jerky "push" on the back of the elbow. Now I know a little bit of anatomy, enough to know that if my elbow was out I would be screaming in pain. Yet he had a nurse that was a regular patient and SHE swallowed EVERYTHING, hook, line and sinker. But this man was "finding" all sorts of bones out of joint. I knew another nurse whom I took to a "clinic" often, where she spent money she didn't have, to have her colon flushed and then purchase their pills and such for an exorbitant price. She took handfuls of pills several times a day, and I do mean handfuls. She eventually passed away. NOTHING that "doctor" performed, or sold, did anything to prolong her life. But he sure got lots of money. This "cleansing" thing. I would ask the simple question, do you use the bathroom several times a day? If so you are doing the cleansing the "natural" way - the way God made us to "cleanse" our systems. So in this sense I would go further and ask why you would use "chemicals" to do something that is already "naturally" done? BTW, that colon gets "cleansed" with every...well I think you can get the picture from here. My mother-in-law is a sucker for every quirky practice/thought/shiester that comes along. Her only "measuring stick" is if they are Christian. If you are a "Christian", you could sell her the Brooklyn Bridge and she would buy it. She recently did the "hair analysis" thing, and the person told her she has "brain congestion" and she now has to drink this concoction at least once a day. The magnetic pull on us from the earth has not lessened because the earth has become so paved over. Nutrients have not been depleted from the soil, therefore making our food nutrient poor. If the nutrients weren't there, the crops would not grow. Bottom line. Hype is hype, it doesn't matter if it comes from Christians or non-Christians. I am very sorry to see the Christian world being sucked into the gimmick driven field of pseudo-science. A pseudo-science that says a lot of complex words and complicated sounding sentences jam-packed with "facts" so that it befuddles the reader/listener and it "sounds so good" that it must be true. Can you say "Star Trek"? You say you are feeling better. I have recently heard a "hair restore" system you can order, pills or cream I think, that will have you seeing results the very day you receive it in the mail. Must be a can of spray paint! It is called the "power of suggestion" or more technically...the placebo effect. If you truly want to make changes to TRULY feel better, make better food choices at the grocery store, grow a garden, or go to a "U-pick" garden. Spend your hard-earned money on REAL change, and not some pseudo-scientific gimmick. OK, I'll climb off my hobbyhorse now. Robbin Oh yeah, try burying a hotdog in the back yard and see how long it takes it to rot away. I bet it is a far cry shorter than 20 years.

I don't think much of the health food/natural issue. After observing much, and applying a little common sense, as well as recalling my high school science classes, I have concluded that there are a lot of people getting rich off pseudo science. ![]()
