Let's not just pray over people for financial blessing, but let's encourage kids to stay in school, and get a good education, which they can use towards gainful and successful employment. Let's teach folks financial responsibility, so they do not find themselves homeless in time of crises. Many of these issues are addressed by "wisdom" (which, I doubt you are not lacking.) My point being, God has provided the answers to many of our "problems", through revelations in medical science, engineering, and even the business principles of my favorite business textbook, Proverbs. Now, once we've implemented all of the above, what are we left to face? I'm guessing issues of education, literacy, (especially for women), hygiene, clean water, nutrition, etc. So, I'm thinking that today's miracle may not be a dramatic healing, but teaching literacy in a village where young women then grow into entrepreneurs, raising the standard of living for their families and villages. Where is the miracle power in that? Applying the lessons of Proverbs. Recognizing that ignorance, poverty, and malnutrition, are the enemies of man. Recognizing that God's Word can change, transform, and bring prosperity, health, and spiritual growth to a people group. We need 21st century missionaries. We need missionaries who send sick people to the hospital, but make sure that young girls attend school. We need missionaries who don't just bring down containers of used clothes from the US, but who lead people in building their own farms, businesses, schools, political institutions, etc, upon the foundation of trust and obedience in God and His word. The "life abundant" is far more than miracle healing, but a life transformation, that makes the wife beater into a loving husband, changes a child abuser into a loving father, delivers the alcoholic to pursue their life dreams, and the power of God that changes the heart of a criminal thug to that of a community leader. Like you, I want to see the power of God. I want to see the power of God to change peoples' lives. To change communities.

People who are sick - let's send them to the hospital. Let's bless them with the absolute best scientific knowledge gained to date, recognizing the Creator as the ultimate scientist.
