Relief finally came when I had surgery. And, I spent a little time in international ministry and missions work, so I have a little bit of interest in this subject. Not to mention, I just flat out love the book of Proverbs. Here's a bit of my thinking. If I plan a building project, I hire an architect. If I run a business, I hire an accountant. If I start a sales promotion, I certainly enlist the best marketing help I can find. If I get a cut on my hand, I wash it, maybe put some antiseptic on it, then a Band-Aid. I brush my teeth. I avoid drinking contaminated water. And, if I'm sick, I go to the Dr. Proverbs teaches so much on the subject of wisdom, and being willing to learn from others. That is why I feel education is so important. And, I'm just as willing to enlist the help of an educated, trained, wise, medical professional as I am in any other area of life. Can you imaging building a skyscraper, and saying, "we'll, we prayed, and we're just trusting God". (Well, that might be OK, if you're not in Seattle, or anywhere else on the west coast. In any case, whether running a business, building a skyscraper, or facing a serious medical condition, I would both pray AND seek professional help. Lots more to be said. Blessings, FL
