This is nothing about Chris, but I just want to share everyone how I feel now.
This morning, I went to the temple of the church for praying for my beloved friends who are sick, some of them are physically, some of them are mentally struggling, and of course, for my own as well.
Since last year, for many reasons, having been so tight budget and spending life. Today, I got so hungry because it was noon, so I decided to eat something at cafeteria inside the church. I was checking how much I have in my wallet, but basically, the lunch menu price are very cheap because it was offered in the church, but for me, $1 is very important for now. ( that's why I couldn't go to the Chris' musical
) I had $10, so I carefully checking the prices and got Salad $2 and soup $1.50 and took many crackers which are free. I was so tempted to choose some cakes or ice creams but I just closed my eyes and passed on
I was on the line waiting for paying, when my turn came, the cashier said " Yours has been already paid ". I was like
Then she pointed the middle 50's man who was about to sit and eat, and said " That man paid your lunch ". Again, I was like
He noticed what's going on, and he looked at me with smile, his mouth was saying " it's ok, it's ok " with wink. We don't know each other, probably I won't see him anymore. But he paid my lunch for me. My heart was full of thankfulness. I told him " thank you very much " with tears. Usually portions are huge in the USA, so I don't eat them all and I put the left over in the container and bring them home, but today, I took time and ate them all with gratitude. It might be a simple and small thing for you guys, but for me, it was HUGE thing and it was hard to eat foods because I was bursting into my tears. After I finished, again, I went to the table where he and his family were eating, I sincerely bow as Japanese way of showing gratitude, and told this brother, thank you. Then I think they thought that is the polite way, so he and his wife both also bow their head and said " You are welcome. "
Many people always " Help " and waiting for returns, but today, I really felt the true love is not " receiving ", it is " giving " without expect " returns " or in the other word " Loving back ". I just wanted to share my favorite quote;
" He drew a circle that shut me out---
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But Love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle that took him in. "
