If you are paying for your own visits, the number will depend on how many you can afford in a month. If you are not paying and are on some kind of a program, then therapists/counselors will agree to see you about once a month. Sad but true. If you ask the free therapists, they will cry about their heavy workload. But my secret theory is that most therapists think relationship issues are a very low priority in general and will only agonize with their clients over them if they are being remunerated.
