Hi I am new here and have found enormous benefit from your postings(I posted msg re enabling).I had not heard of codependency untill a few days ago from my counselor ,searched for "codendency"and found all this,which is unfortunately, a lot like me and fortunately now I understand a bit more re me,what I'd like to put forward is that the characteristics of codep behaviour (which I don't know much about )is very similar to the behaviour of borderline personality disorder (which I know a considerable amount as I am a recovering BPD,Diagnosed 2 years ago and have done an enormous amount of work on me [after 2 marriages and a third close relationship screw up I had to look for the WHY ,yes I blamed me!!!!]) sooooo if any one that may know both of these situations could shed some light on just how closely related they are,would be great( reason why ??? after reading for the last 6 days re codep I am wondering if codep was my situation rather than BPD)BTW I am more than interested in forwarding my knowledge in regard to BPD
