Sometimes it is best to let sleeping dogs lie. You did what was best for you emotionally, and now it is time for you to heal. If you are the "Love her and leave her" type guy, then that is something that you will need to work on before you go into another relationship. We all have issues to work on, things that get in between us and a good lasting loving relationship. Mine, for instance, is trusting the one I love not to hurt me emotionally. It is an issue I have struggled with since I was young.
Anyway best of luck in finding that right person for you.
