Posted by Nerissa on 9/22/2006, 6:28 pm, in reply to "Does this make sense" Having said that, maybe a quick fix answer is not enough (not that church wouldn't help; it very well may), but you may need ongoing support from people who have gone through a similar situation, and you may also need time to grieve and heal. 25 years seems like a very long time to be married and in a dysfunctional relationship - i've only been married 3 years and have begun looking for support for myself in dealing with my situation. i hope i have been able to help you in some small way
Have you read the book "Women who love too much" by Robin Norwood? it has really helped me to begin my journey of recovery from codependency. maybe it can help you to sort out your feelings.
