Posted by Lakota on 11/11/2005, 7:24 am First Counseling Appointment was great! Felt great, got a lot of great advice and felt like I wasn't a lost cause anymore! Second Counseling Appointment started talking to him about incidents that happened where I felt myself being drawn back into the co-dependent fray, and how I listened to his advice and managed to put myself and my values before others. Then he started in by saying, well take a month and if you still feel you're having problems... give me a call in a month and I'll see if I can schedule you in. Now is it just me, or is something that's occured in my life for atleast 6 years now that I think about it, something that can be cured in a two hour time span? For those of you who are seeing a counselor... how often are you making your visits and roughly how long.... Two visits over a two week period and he treated me like I was just some kid who was heartbroken over an ex, not someone that was there for what I believe to be a serious issue. Problem is I'm very low income, and this is the only place I found I could acctually afford (Catholic Charities).
Well, I've recently been going through bad times... realized that I myself was co-dependent and that killed off my relationship. So upon talking to people on these boards, I found my self a counselor.
