IGN Comics: Mark, Why was it important to revamp this title into one starring Hercules and move the Red Hulk concept into its own book?
Pannicia: It was clear that there were more stories to tell with Amadeus and Hercules, that these two characters had a lot to offer each other. We originally wanted to spin Renegades off into its own book but we looked at this as a chance to offer fans something different than another team book, a buddy book if you will—that could allow us to tell some really human stories with crazy superhuman action.
And Pak's 'boilerplate plug' for the book? "A ridiculously fun and sometimes surprisingly moving exploration of the insane amount of trouble that the planet's most irresponsible god and most incorrigible teen genius can make when they put their minds and muscles to it. Crazy hijinks, tons of smashing, occasional deep thoughts, and gorgeous art by Khoi Pham."
So we came close to the Renegades book and the creative team will be Van Lente and Pham...
