: I have brought this subject up a couple of
: times on the boards and got almost no
: response. So if that happens again I will
: takethe hint and drop the subject.
: Simply put-I would see a cross-over for
: these two Kirby creation and I am not
: talking a vs book.I am talking a
: writer, artist, and editor ready to explore
: the subjects and themes Kirby started.Of
: course some vs stuff would go on-it wouldnt
: be a complete comic without some
: fighting.The older I become the more I
: apprecite Kirbys work and I loved most of it
: as a kid.
:
: I think it would be an interesting concept
: which would be best served with Neil
: Gaiman's writing (he's great with big
: concepts)and John Romita, Jr. (the other
: half of the mini-series team) on art (I'd
: love to see his Darkseid). Maybe Darkseid
: could be seeking a way to by-pass New
: Genesis by invading the Eternals' universe
: or he wants to use celestial power and/or
: technology to get the Anti-Life Equation (of
: course, this is ignoring to an extent
: current developments.) In the attempt, Domo
: (the Eternal who ran the monitoring devices
: in the Kirby series) detects the forces and
: alerts Thena, Zuras, Ikaris, et. al.
: Izaya/Takion does likewise with Orion, Mr.
: Miracle et. al. Druig and/or Thanos decides
: to take action to seize control of the
: power. Of course, the potential for
: interhero conflict with hotheads such as
: Orion and The Reject on hand could happen.
:
: That would be a heckuva team to tell the
: story.To my knowledge such a team-up has
: never happened and your idea would be a good
: launching pad.
:
:
: If you're referring to Gaiman/Romita, they
: teamed up to relaunch the Eternals in the
: mini-series which preceded the curent
: series, IIRC.
:
Whoops-not very clear was I-meant New Gods/Eternals team-up that I know of.But since you mentioned that mini,I have been thinking about getting the trade or waiting for the hardback.I very seldom snag the hards and I have read only issues-1-2.They look great and the scans I have seen of the others look awesome-what do you think?trade or wait?
