DC is doing well revamping their villians. There's no reason Marvel couldn't do the same with their heroes from that vintage (70's & 80's).
: Revamping the Human Fly is a great idea.
: Since we are thinking of older characters,
: could also try someone like Blue Shield on
: the team, or bring Wraith back to life.
: Don't know if you like those suggestions,
: but I think it's worth I thought.

: If the team's based in LA, I see them as a
: more media-friendly celebrity group of
: heroes, "in it" to use their
: powers for the greater good, as well for for
: the $$$.
: The Angel has matured as a character, and it
: would be difficult for him to fit into this
: type of team, unless there was a really good
: reason to motivate him back to the world of
: non-X-men related super heroics. I still
: would like to see him with the old red and
: gold costume again.
: I envision a new team of Champions is the
: following way. A mysterious financial
: backer (Warren Worthington perhaps) puts
: together a superteam, and calls out Justice,
: of the New Warriors, to lead the team.
: Whereas the Avengers are the government's
: go-to superteam (for the most part), the
: Champions are an independent private sector
: supergroup. Heroes for Hire with a cause.
: A core group of 4 or 5 heroes with other
: joining in for missions as needs dictate.
: Basically, this is the superteam for heroes
: that need jobs and can profit from their
: abilities! Even superheroes need to save
: for retirement!
: I see a good line up (members and
: associates) as the following:
: (* Core Group)
: M* (from Generation X)
: She Hulk* (member and legal counsel)
: Angel* (financial backer and advisor)
: Giant-Man (Bill Foster aka Black Goliath)
: Wonder Man
: Human Torch
: Human Fly (from the 70's! (revamp him!)
