Posted by Melissa So, all I can do is listen to my Corey CD's and hope that one day, he will come out of seclusion, release an album, and go on tour. His music was such a BIG part of my growing up years, in the 1980's, and especially being that he was from Montreal and I was in Ottawa, I used to think we might run into each other, and despite the 10 year age difference, fall in love, and live happily ever after Big hugs to all the Corey fans out there, new and old, and I loved the story about naming your baby boys after Corey. That is really sweet and I think Corey would love knowing that he has touched so many lives. I wonder if he knows how much he is missed.

I know he is in the Bahamas living with Julie Masse and their 4 (at last count) kids. Why has he given up on his musical career. I have been a fan since the very beginning. Sunglasses at Night was the first cassette tape I owned, and he played in Ottawa in 1985, but the tickets sold out before I got a chance to get any. He was my first true love (what can I say I was 13). I did get a chance to see him play live in 1997, and it was amazing, and even though I was 25, I felt like I was 13 all over again. I had great seats (3rd row) and could see everything great. Julie is beautiful and she and Corey make a beautiful couple and beautiful children. That said, I would be happy if I could just get some updated information on him from his official web site, which is at Sony Music, but they have not updated since 2003, as at the time, they were expecting baby #4. I had heard he was producing and writing, but was not really recording anymore and did not want to tour and leave his family behind. ![]()
