Posted by Dwayne Congradulations on getting a corn snake for Christmas. You are going to have a great time with your new pet. Don't worry to much about your little one hidding they are a little shy when they are small. If you think about it, in the wild they make a nice snack for a lot of birds and other animals when they are this size. I think I would rather not be seen either. They will be more active at night in the dark if you have a timer on your heat lamp and mist his enclosure in the evenings. Handling him is great and the more you handle him the quieter and more used to you he will get,but wait for a day or two after you feed him so he has time to settle his food down. He will puke his meal back up if he is stressed or something does't agree with him. And he will have more of a tendency to poop three to four days after you feed so careful how and when you hold him. Let me Know how you make out feeding him or you have any other questions. Your Friend Dwayne
