Hi
I have four corns and every one of them act different. They are all the same age but from different breeders. They very from 18 inches to over 5 feet at a year old. My big male eats 5 mice every 3 to 4 weeks. My little male who I can not get him off of pinkies eats three every 2 weeks. My two females have eaten up to 4 mice every three weeks. I wait till they start looking(when you see them more and are more active in their home)be for feeding. If you think about it, in nature when they are hungry they are going to go looking too, as no one brings it to them. Right!
For those who did not know, There are four sizes of mice.
Pinkies- Just born to just before they get hair
Fuzzies- Just bigger than pinkies with hair
but with their eyes still close.
Hoppers- Eyes open and as the name suggests
they do hop. This may confuse or
even scare your corn and he may not
eat if he is not aggresive enough.
I had one corn go from fuzzies to
adults as he hated the bouncy thing
Adults- anything from large hoppers to
breeding mice.
Well I just wanted to share this. You can smash it down or it may help you.It works for me. good luck with your corn snakes
