Wow, 4 and a half feet long, big one there Sharon. Our Dodger is cruising on 3 years now and is a sizable 3 and a half feet long now and we are still working on once a week feedings with Hoppers. Plan to hit normal size mice this month and like you said, he is VERY AGGRESSIVE and seems very hungry each feeding but I know from past snake experiences that the one mouse, or maybe go to small rats, now will suffice for the week. I tried to follow a hopper with a pinky left over and he ate it readily but also within half an hour regurgitated ALL the food and we left him alone till the next week. It could be simply too much going in at different times causes the regurge. Dodger seems happy with the once a week feedings and does well activity wise and have never had a complaint about him.(Except after that week of no food, he shot out of his feeding container to nail that hopper and caught my finger as well.LOL)
