Small black bugs in my snake's eyes and on him

There are small black bug-looking creatures on my snake and they seem to be especially in his eyes. What is this, can it kill him, and how do I get rid of it?
Please, please help me. I am very worried about my snake. I've already lost one baby corn and I can't bear to lose another.
