It's ok to handle your corn as much as you like. You should start with just 5 or 10 minutes at a time initially, then a little longer as your snake gets used to you and being held. Just be sure to support the body and let him / her climb through your hands. Imagine your hands and arm like a tree limb or playground for your snake and let him explore !
It is best to leave him/her alone for a day or two after he/she eats and during the shedding process. Your corn will be more likely to try to bite you during shedding because their eyesight is reduced and they become very defensive.
Don't worry about being bitten - it won't hurt you. Just be sure to wash the bite if the skin gets broken. If you do get bitten, resist the urge to pull back and away from the snake. That could injure your snake's mouth or teeth and possibly introduce an infection to your snake. Then you'd need to take your snake to a vet for treatment.
Most of all, enjoy your unique pet, respect it and you'll be buddies for a long time.
P.S. you can see pictures of my lil corn snake at my web page.
