The essentials are bedding, water dish, something to hide in/under, and some sort of *SAFE* heat source. Use your best judgement, I don't really think there's any right or wrong amount of open space required. But try not too make it TOO crowded-- when your snake sheds it will crawl all around and need space to rub itself up against things to help the process. Good luck!

It isn't that big of a deal that you haven't fed your corn snake yet-- they can survive weeks without food, although I don't recommend starving them for that long. Feeding your snake once a week is perfectly reasonable.
