What probably happened was that the tank wasnt humid enough for him to shed maybe and your hands might have been@ the right tempeture and it could have caught on a finger nail and there ya go shedding is done...I could be wrong but thats my theory...Any others? and as long as he is ok when you helped him I dont see why another time would be a problem.
