Unfortunately, I don't have a high speed connection. But
this doesn't stop me from trying. Occasionally, I can down a biggie.

Here's the "later" part. Just yesterday, I was thinking about
YOU. And that if I had one of those new fangled VCR-2-DVD
burning decks, I got dupe one of my VHS copes of Gorgo and just
mail it to you as a surprise. Honestly, I hadn't read this message
before that thought. Isn't this gettin creepie?
.
The only reason I thought if that, was that my sister has one
of these decks. And she dropped off a DVD she made of some
mushie movies she taped off of the Hallmark channel. That
quality isn't great. But it's not too bad either. And I'm
now wondering if it isn't just as good that way, as from
the DAP source? Unfortunately, most of the MST3000 episodes
I have were taped at SLP speed. Only in the final year of
exhibition, on TSNWSRN, did I tape episodes at SP speed.
.
I still haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone
who owns or sells these VHS-2-DVD decks, whether they allow you
to edit out commercials, before the final burn. My sister's
homemade DVD still has a few seconds of commercial time in it.
So either she overlooked them, or couldn't edit them out from
the taped source (first gen).
.
Presently, I don't have any kind of DVD burner. Just a couple of
player (alone & PC) units. The best I could do is to burn
a SVCD of something. But my one player doesn't even like to
play SVCDs, just VCDs. So I'm a bit restricted there too.
.
Anyway. I've got "Gorgo!" on tape. Just not an SP recording of
it. And naturally a commercially made DVD of it would be fair
better. I don't know if a DAP copy would be, though. So
you don't need to supply me with one. And obviously, I no
longer need to supply you one either. But it's kind of
neat (or weird) that we were both thinking about that same thing,
at about the same time. And this has happened before. Like
you review of "Night of the Lepus", and I just watched MST's "Future
War" (with its NotL ref.) the next day (because I watch them
in order. "BWoDZ" is next).
.
Just in case you've been thinking about "Mom & Dad Save the
World" (the movie). That's because I've recently watched a loaned
DVD of it. And I'm experimenting with making a VCD of it.
And those annoying audio bytes that might be filtering thru
the sub-etha, are from some "Ranma 1/2" DVDs my nephew loaned
me during Christmas. They reuse the same music a lot, in
that series. So sorry, if it driving you to distraction.
Let me know if it's too much, and I'll try wearing a
tin foil hat or something.
