But the smell of those fresh baked cookies would drive me crazy.
Not to mention a small elf infestation problem.
: Couldn't say... I didn't know you were
: political. You oughta check out Crow's
: blog. He offers a slightly different point
: of view, and he's a better writer, in my
: opinion.
:
I'll look for it. Me political? Oh yeah, but I usually
keep it in check here. It's not that kind of a message board. Besides,
if I expressed myself on every political board I could find,
that's all I'd ever be doing. I should probably set up my
own blog or something, one day. That way reader would come to
read me, rather than me having to go to post to them.
.
Since movies are sometimes used as propaganda tools (such
as the movie "The Green Berets"), and we often review the quality
of various movies here. I feel I can slip in the occasional
observation and opinion, that has a political side to it.
.
For example. (oh no!) This recent movie about the jetliner
that crashed on 9-11, up in Penn state. Why do we need to
be reminded of that, right now? And why choose to reinact that
particular crash, while ignoring so many others. There were
no movies about the flights lost flying between NYC and Paris.
.
I think it's part of Hollywood's "why we fight" chanpaign,
to restore support for the Iraq war. Just another counter
to "Fahrenheit 911", and all the so-called "negative" war news.
Basing a realistic movie on a couple of recorded cellphone
conversions, sounds a might sketchy to me.
.
While Hollywood is at it, why haven't they made any movies
about the two Space Shuttle disasters? Apparently, they don't
want to embarrass the NASA family (contractors, military, etc).
Showing what happened to those two crews, might horrify
the public too much, and cause them to have the whole program
shut down. But it's ok to horrify us about the jetliner crash,
because it's not very likely going to effect air travel now.
If anything, it's a big P.R. thing for the airlines, in that
it justifies all the waiting for baggage screenings.
.
Well this concludes my political ranting for the day.
