In fact, one can see the "Dark Shadows" influence (specifically in Barnabas Collins' character) in Curtis' "Dracula" adaptation with Jack "Missed Call" Palance. Said influence would later be blatantly ripped-off by Coppola for his "Dracula" movie, and would be a clear inspiration for both "Forever Knight" and "Angel".
