Posted by Kenneth Morgan I've never seen "Deal or No Deal", but from what you say it almost sounds like a sort-of update of "Let's Make a Deal", one of the truly classic game shows. Is there a similarity? As for your idea, how about this: We get a bunch of people together, put them on a bread and water diet for a week or so, then give them a choice. They can have a sumptuous meal of whatever they want right away at no charge, or they can stay on the bread and water and MAYBE win some cash. Sorry, that sounds rather lame, but I wouldn't put it past the networks to come up with something similar.

I don't watch "reality" shows beyond the occasional news program, and even those can manipulate facts to the point where "reality" is a relative term at best.
