My sister (on the 1st of December), who took the time back in 1996 to humor her brother and faithfully tapes almost all of the weekend episodes (only missed "The Starfighters" and "Rebel Set") of MST3k on TFNWSRN, from June thru December. Even though she personally didn't liked the show. What a trooper, eh? And if TFNWSRN hadn't scaled back their schedule, after May 1996, I might have had five times as many shows on tape.
The week I spent house sitting (and remodeling) for her, was the only opportunity that May that I had to tape a running week's worth of the show. Then I lost taping the week after that, before June kick in with just two of three episodes on the weekends. It still took a box of T-160 VHS tapes to record those seven months. And a very tolerant sister to put up with the demand on her weekends. She's not savvy about programming a VCR. So it was usually a manual start and stop session.
So while I refrain from posting my own birthday. I think I own her at least one mention here. Or I'd be one unhappy MST3k fan, with only Rhino's scant offerings to look at. Thank you Anita, and Happy Birthday.
