Okay, first of all, I've got no internet connection, so my chances to get online are, at best, limited, so, for those of you who were going to ask, "Where have ya been, Doc?", there's your answer in advance.
Anyway, a recent phone call from a friend in Lansing who is attending MSU went thusly:
My Friend: Hey, man, have you heard any news about your favorite show?
Me: News? What news? What have you heard? Tell me, dammit! TELL ME!!!
My Friend: Er, I was just, uh, wondering whether you heard about some company buying the series and planning to release the whole thing on DVD.
Me: What? Where'd you hear that?
My Friend: I think I read it on Fark.com or someplace like that. I can't find it now because they do, like, 200 or 300 "news" listings per day, and it was a few days ago.
Me: And you're just calling to tell me this now?!?
My Friend: Well, this is the first chance I've had...
The rest of the conversation is, at best, uninteresting and nothing even remotely related to the subject at hand.
At any rate, I thought I'd swing by here and see if you guys had seen anything about this. So...er...have you?
