How cool would it have been to post exactly one year after my last one? As it is, I'll take precisely 53 weeks. Glad to see the flame still burning. Where is SkaQueen, Ortega, DrClay (I see he's still having Internet access issues even with Web 2.0)? I really can't believe its been 9, 9 years...
9 years this, July, right?
I wish I had something original to say, but it just seems the whole making-fun-of-movies-and-real-(set in stone)-pop-culture (MST3k, anyone remember Joe Bob Briggs and MonsterVision, bumpered movies on TBS, etc.) has morphed into making fun of Lindsey Lohan and B.S. (Britney Spears) or Paris Hilton's latest antics week in and week out on VH1...that is, its turned vanilla. And for Chrissakes...those whores have all been in the news for at least 9 years themselves. Its all so...commercialized forced fed soup into a geriatric's drooling mouth. BLEH!
BTW, I haven't read through the board's latest offerings, but any advice/thoughts on the latest adventures of Mike, the Bots, and/or BBI? Is Rifftrax worth the $$--nearly a decade later and I remain a poor student...BBI was supposed to do new animated shorts with the bots right? Yet mst3k.com seems to be offering warmed leftovers of the series. Does that fall into the category of anything-for-a-buck? Or is it worth the time to watch?
