I've read that the "Retro Television Network" also appears on some cable franchises, and on Dish Tv. The reason RTN has gotten its breathing privilege, is that so many prior vintage programming channels have corrupted their offerings. Like "Nick at Night", and "TvLand" after them. They started with showing old shows only. But then mixed in newer ones and original productions. Edging out the sort of shows that got people watching them in the first place. AKA, "the MTV syndrome". Hopefully, RTN will resist "modernizing" its programming for quite a while. If anything, I'd like to see more of the older shows that Nick at Night abandoned. Like "The Patty Duke Show". And "Search", even if only in B/W (too red for color video).
It's been educational to watch the old "Mike Hammer" show. Darren McGavin's later Tv series, mimicked the former's style quite a lot. But I'll always like "Kolchak the Nightstalker" the best. That too, could be on RTN, since they've got "Night Gallery" (ugh).
