Well I never objected to amateur riffers posting their stuff on YouTube. But somebody other than ex-BBI writers, making a similar commercial product, just seems wrong to me, somehow. Especially if it undermines the sales of the Film Crew or Rifftrax. And then this ICWXP tanks, after driving the former out of business.
I'd prefer supporting the writers who have 20 years experience at doing this stuff. Than some newbies, who just think it's neat idea to try for a while, until they get real jobs again. This wrecked economy is bound to spawn a lot of imitators making imitations of a quality product.
Their choice of name should tell us something. What, are they ripping off Microsoft too? So I guess it's for bring in those Google searches, eh? I can think of a better name. How about "Sexy Incognito Cinema Knights Of Silliness"? That's S.I.C.K.O.S. for short. The "Sexy" part works far better for Google hits, than "XP".
