: I'll have to check on this. I only hope
: Rimmer is still there.
Yes! The whole cast except Holly (male or female) is back. And Rimmer is a hologram again, for some reason. They'll probably explain why that is, early on.
: As for "Doctor Who", I'm way
: behind on the Tennant episodes. What I've
: seen is OK, but I just wish they hadn't
: overused the Daleks and had stopped bashing
: us over the head with the Rose Tyler thing.
Yeah, but Rose kind of grows on you, after the first season (with Eccleston). I actually missed her a lot after her time. Martha was Ok, but Rose was more cheery, I think.
And I thought that the 9th Doctor was harder to take. He was a bit "in your face" and "over the top", for just restarting the series. Tennant (10th Doctor) seemed more suitable to the role. Perhaps that's why he's lasted for several seasons.
: As for "Torchwood", I've only seen
: a couple of episodes and they were generally
: OK. I did see all of season 1 of "The
: Sarah Jane Adventures" and it was fine.
I'll probably be reserving Torchwood season 1, soon. My library has them spread out between branches. So the first three discs aren't at my branch. They don't always break up these DVD sets like that. But with Torchwood, they did. It may have to do with not getting as many copies of a DVD set, to circulate around.
Some part of the "Sarah Jane Adventures" appears in the last episode of Doctor Who season 4. As well as Torchwood. Hell the whole last episode is a spin-off promoter. From the look of it, S.J.A. is a tad bit juvenile, compared with Dr. Who and Torchwood. But not quite as juvenile as the US would probably do such a "kids' show", I'm sure.
