Ah yes. Two of the old "Space: 1999" series. And if that wasn't bad enough, they're both season 2 episodes. Not THEE worst two. That would be "Bringers of Wonder" parts 1 & 2. But still, not as good as season 1 episodes were. The where a few pair ups of that season's episodes, that were also syndicated as "movies". But I don't believe MST3k ever dealt with any of them. But I guess if you're going to rag on anything, rag on the worst. And "Cosmic Princess" qualifies.
I was never a fan of see these British Scifi series in this format. Or any other series, in a two hour movie compilation. Generally they're terrible. And it's often just a way to repackage some of the worse episodes of a series, and sell them for syndication. One really bad pairing of two "Kolchak: the Nightstalker" episodes, comes to mind. Particularly since they altered some of the dialog, in order to connect the two story lines, better. Yuk!
The only exception to this compilation thing, that ever worked for me, was the movie "Invasion: UFO". Which was a movie made from two episode of the series "UFO". Plus some brief clips of a few other episodes, added to fill the plot gaps. I think it worked rather well, for a change. That was done in 1980. I know because I have the "promo card" for the movie. And I searched for 25 years for the opening title music they used. It wasn't part of the original series. It was the same tune used for the 1980 Timex Digital Quartz watch commercial. "Dawn of an Era" by Francis Monkman. Whoever mixed the music for "Invasion: UFO", was really on target picking this tune. It's a beauty. You can download it from the ufoseries.com website as an MP3, (thanks to the webmaster and I researching it).
