Actually, what I recalled reading wasn't entirely accurate. Jim's objection only applied to their deal with Rhino. So they went to Shout! Factory for distribution.

Shout Factory hasn't been very good for their business. The Film Crew hadn't gotten any orders for new material. So the team basically shut down that production, indefinitely. Concentrating more on RiffTrax. But it was Mallon's interference that put the fly in the ointment. They lost a lot of time waiting for another distributor to pick them up.
