I guess I'd better get back to work. Anyway...
: Anyway, the Outside Stuff selection
: is..."RT: Voodoo Man"
"Voodoo Man" was one of the movies Bela Lugosi did during his "poverty row" period, and it's not as bad as some of the others he did. Bela does his usual good job, while co-stars George Zucco and John Carradine seem embarrassed as, respectively, an Englishman/gas station owner/voodoo priest and a dim-witted flunky. The plot is pretty much the same as "The Corpse Vanishes", but with voodoo instead of surgery.
While the movie still doesn't work, the riffing is fine. Oh, and one more thing: gosh all fishhooks!
: while the
: Original Stuff selection is..."Time
: Chasers" (Show 821).
Personally, I think "Time Chasers" is pretty good. Yes, it's low budget and the script needed work, but it's a good effort and its view of time paradoxes make more sense than some "Doctor Who" stories. (Kiss off, fixed points!)
The episode is OK. The riffing is good, and the host segments with Eddie and time-travelling Crows were great. (Dude!)
One more thing: my brother Brian passed away unexpectedly a week ago Friday. Recently, he'd spent several months coaching lacrosse at Johnson State College in Johnson, VT. It seems Castleton (of "Time Chasers" fame) was a big rival of Johnson State, and frequently beat them. One can hope Johnson State will win next time in Bri's memory.
Over to you...
Watch out for snakes.
