: is..."CT: Doomsday Machine"
Well, for those familiar with "The Doomsday Machine", what more can I say than it is one of the most inept movies around. Made on a low budget (both times), it features bad characterizations, insufficient acting, a seriously bad script, and an ending that is just...you'll have to see it for yourself. In short, this one is in "Castle of Fu Manchu" territory.
The Titans do a good job with the riffing, though. This DVD was one of the in-studio efforts, so they stick to the vague "electron scaffolding" storyline. I usually find these not as funny as the live performances, but that's a minor point. The brief host segments are OK, and Josh gets a great gag near the end.

: Original Stuff, with..."Star
: Crash" (Show 1106).
Okay, this week I remember.
And let's go.
I remember ads for the movie back in the day, when everybody was out to cash in on "Star Wars". I'd only seen bits and pieces of the movie until now, so I only knew it by reputation. In any case, this one is pretty lousy.
There are a few interesting VFX, but the script is all over the place. (For example, Marjoe Gortner's character suddenly has superpowers because...he does. And he has a particular power at a particular time...because he does.) One the whole, though, it's a poorly-made rip-off. About the only thing you really memorable is that Caroline Munro is very attractive; I only wish she'd been playing a better character.
The riffing is great, though, including an actual, in-theater song. The host segments were also good, though I'd have thought that it'd be Disney's lawyers threatening Servo. And the visit by mumblemumble was pretty funny.
So, your thoughts?
Watch out for snakes.
