Good to see Rex's suit he also had a Blue one just like it and even one that had purple and orange for the Phoenix Suns. On the jump off Rex was used to a 10 deg ramp with a transition at the bottom . Eddie's ramp I believe was 12 and they wouldnt allow Rex a to put on a trans for his jumps . [They also wouldnt let him practice on Eddie's ramps in the days before only a small ramp was offered ]. Rex would bounce on the takeoff and couldnt get his speed dailed in right causing him to miss the target . Thus loosing even though he had the most control angle wise of the bike. If I 'm not mistaking it was Eddie Kidd Day and his new record 45? /album? was being relesed that day. He wouldnt have lost if he crashed every jump. On the Chips article thats Gary Davis with the broken leg . It's also him in the truck while they film and the man shown leaning on the hood of the truck filming this was Bud Ekins another famous fence jumper. Great Escape!
