This one going to be difficult. Remember that gap, its big, speeds in the high 90’s just to make it to the other side. That’s real fast on any bike, especially a motocross bike. Also, no speed runs passed the ramp, once hes inside a certain distance he has to go, no second chances. Don’t forget, anytime a jump takes place by the water or over the water you can expect wind. And you can expect changing winds. Live TV pressure to go, can’t delay the jump a few hours. I’ll never forget RK at the Intrepid jump, live TV and the wind was blowing hard, it was blowing the stands. He was smart, waited as long as possible and got that few seconds when the wind kind of slowed and it still affected him. I’d say this might be one the most dangerous jumps preformed in a long time. I know big ramps and a great rider, but adverse conditions can change everything real fast. I wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.
