someone specifically directed this question to me here on the message board. I've never had the pleasure of meeting Robbie. No contact info. He is a very private person and totally respect that. Others here have suggested they are insiders who know things. Maybe...maybe not.He does have a Facebook page , current, under Kaptain Robbie Knievel. I am a "friend" there. Anyone who is a fan should check it out. Haters and bashers don't waste your time. someone asked the question there " Robbie are you retired ?" Kirsten Knievel replied " I'll answer for him. Yes he is !" Robbie himself neither answers or acknowledges questions or comment on his Facebook. since then Kirsten's comment has since been deleted. I would guess by Robbie or directed by Robbie. Most of you know nobody answers for him. It's how he appears to have lived his entire life. When he has disappeared the last 10+ years I realize it has been to DEMONS...alcohol. Jumps planned, jumps cancelled. We need to remember that he has suffered serious spinal injuries from both crashes and hard landings. Some of you know this type of pain. I've personally experienced it. Best described as someone taking a ice pick attached to a 12 volt battery and driving it with a hammer into your lower vertebra. If he is officially retired he deserves it, earned it. Ramp to ramp on pavement, success and crashes. to the haters and bashers...sorry but he is indeed a LEGEND IN HIS OWN TIME. LONG WINDED RESPONSE BUT NEED TO BE SAID HERE....ON THIS SITE
