Posted by heidi My school is 10 miles outside of the city. Driving I currently get only one television channel, as I hope and pray that you and yours are all well. My Tidbit of happiness...have heard from Chad Kimball, Shoshana Bean, Tim Cain and Eliseo Roman (through Tim) and they are all ok. I know you've heard it a million times but PLEASE-- blood, time, money, food, ANYTHING you can donate- DO SO! love and prayers,

Words can't express the emotional devastation of those
around me at this time. I am home from school at this
moment because so many of my classmates lost family
members yesterday. Parents...and other relatives. When
we were sent home in the morning yesterday there was
not one person not in tears because they knew someone
in or next to the World Trade Center who they couldn't
reach by phone.
home yesterday and seeing the smoking skyline...the
empty space where there were only a few hours earlier
the twin towers...you are filled with emotions you
never knew you had.
everything else I got was broadcast from what now does
not exist. Turning on the tv...seeing only static or
wreckage footage...people jumping from buildings to
escape the fire at any cost...Among those jumping out
of the windows were a man and a woman holding hands.
Sobbing does even begin to describe the reaction to
that image.
family has been lucky, but emotially devastated by the
loss of those around us. I recieved the AMAZING news an hour ago that my cousin who works at WTC got out. At this point
I become more emotional at the good news than the bad.
