A friend of mine had one removed on her paint horse's eye

and it was not light around it. He is a tobiano with a dark face. It started out just tearing a lot, and then there was a small bump. Befor eyou knew it it was pretty big ( between a raisin and a grape). The vet removed it, and youcan't tell anything was ever there.

I don't think it is related to your horses color. Sometimes it just happens.
