The filly was born creamy color. As she matured, she was still a very light cream color. Her mane and tail were silver and her legs were chocolate brown. Her dam was a grade horse with a natural Tennessee walk... she was a buttermilk (light) buckskin with the normal black markings... legs, mane, and tail. The sire was a chestnut with flaxen mane and tail... an Arabian. She definitely was carrying dilute to be a buckskin, however, was she carrying two dilute genes? She is now deceased of old age, but I have always wondered about her coloring as I never have seen another colored like she was. I have photos if needed.
Thanks, Bonnie
