Posted by Robin As for the champs themselves - thought it ran damn well - even with the good ole english rain interfering on Sunday. Now tempted to consider doing Ahoy stadium next year. I'll be after some advice from the seasoned visitors in the near future. Look forward to reading you explanations on the engine rules.

Having watch tractor Pulling at 'Eccy' for nearly 20 years I'm well confused with the engine rules for the modified boys.
Having watch EC2005 to see DD/Simply Irrestistible run 4 or 5 V8s depending on class going up against Intertecno Lambada with 3 or 4 V8s depending on class. Was IL on the Hemi's and if so how does a "Hemi" differ from the Chevy's than DD/SI were using? I could only note double spark leads to the head on IL to be the obvious difference.
The results - nuff respect to the Dutch - business and public interest shows though in the quality and quantity of their machines. I reckon Clarky might have had the Superstock win had he not gone pop - What a hands on the head in despair moment that was. Same for Jeff Ashcroft - he'd have definitely been in the region the lead pull.
For the modifieds disappointed with the 3.5 result for Dan and after his first FP for the 4.5 didn't think he stood a chance in the pull off. SI & IL seemed way to strong (as they did in the 3.5). Great edge tension at the end of that class seeing if he could hang on and hold his lead. nuff respect to keeping the throttle buried with the No 5 motor dying in front of him.
