Sadly I think it will be a while before the majority of people wake up to the absurd propaganda of health fascism. Anyway. What have we been up to? Well I have been out with Eve a few times and as smoking isnt yet banned everywhere we have been enjoying places where we can. She regularly pops over now for a cigarette or two with us. She was surprised to see I let my son smoke. Her mouth was agape when I offered my son one and he gleefully accepted. I let her light him. "Mmmm" I said as I took a long puff myself. I asked her if her kids smoked... they are 17 and 15, one girl one boy (I know they do). She knew too...but they havent smoked in front of her yet....but she said she wouldnt mind underneath it. So she asked how I broke the ice...so we have another BBQ next week. I addition I have noticed more and more people smoking so dont fret!!!You cant fool all of the people all of the time. Sorry I didn't check the forum the past couple of days, I had been checking it religously every day before that and not much was going on here. I removed most of this thread in hopes we can stay focused on the main topic of the forum. And I edited your post changing your description of Dr to a less insulting one. Keep posting and I will keep an eye on things from here on in, and if I have to ban anyone, I will. Dr, I will not let this forum turn into a debate forum. You expressed your views, if you would like to express them some more please do so in the thread where you and I debated. MC

you are right guys that I havent been posting because of that Dr. He didnt uset me...rather I felt I didnt want his online company.
Smoking has many benefits and many dangers. Its a choice we are free to make.
It annoys me when people try to interfere in an insulting manner using alleged expert status. Doctors are notoriously wrong on so many issues. Like cervical cancer used to be thought to be connected with smoking. Anybody with any sense had it linked to something else which turned out to be partly on the right track.
We have also noticed plenty of ladies and guys smoking we didnt even know smoked.It has become much more popular recently...so I cant go along with other peoples observations at all.
The lady across the street who I only vaguely know was one of them. She is in her forties and her husbamd didnt know she has smoked socially for years. As he is a doctor she assumed he wouldnt approve. Guess what? he does....and she has now got him smoking too. He scoffed at medical evidence....so not all doctors are one on this.That two doctors I know that okay it privately while acknowledging its certainly not good for you...its not as bad as being made out.
He went out into the garden with his friends then, and I could see she wanted to ask me about it.
"How long has he been on the fags?" she asked.
Since he was 12 apparently I told her, though I had only just discovered it. She got up and went to the french windows and watched him smoking as he and his friends threw a ball around.
"He is going to be a little heartbreaker" she said, and made some comment about his muscles and tan "smokes like a trooper at his age...little bugger".
I was I am not ashamed to say proud.....but i told her to take her eyes off him!!!
We laughed about it, but I asked her of she liked men who smoked. She gave me a look and smiled. "Of course, she said screwing her face up with desire "its revolutionised my sex life with Chris...how about you?"
